Customized DJ mixer stolen from Richie Hawtin

A customized Allen & Heath DJ mixer — virtually a secret DJ weapon put into commission by Richie Hawtin’s engineer father — has been lifted, seemingly from Minus HQ.

According to a post on the Minus website, the customized Xone:62 mixer was stolen in Berlin on November 9th, but very few details surrounding the theft are provided.

A cash reward is being offered for the safe return of the goods in question.

In a cruel twist of fate, the theft must have taken place while Hawtin visited his hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Canada for a free performance that was broadcast on Radio-Canada Music Radio Network.

The Windsor event also took place on November 9th, with assistance from original Windsorite Marc Houle, and Detroiter Magda as part of the EXPANSION | contraction tour.
